This is a very controversial topic on MU*s. No one wants to spend so much time and brain power on creating a truly great character which will be fun to play only to have her killed the second day on the grid. One staff member here actually experienced a week-long character generation process only to have her character killed in her first /hour/ on the grid and in her first scene (for being in the wrong place at the wrong time). It sucks, frankly, no matter how long you've been RPing your character (that is unless you
wish to 'retire' her at some point).
So, while we won't say that character deaths won't happen, we will say that in most cases, a player has the choice as to whether or not their character might die if such a situation arises. Keep in mind that if a player repeatedly ignores warnings and signs that her actions may cause her character's untimely demise, that they should consider that character death may happen.
Please do not call in staff to make judgements on this, as Nexus is not a traditional game and staff may not be familiar with the theme you've chosen. We may be able to give opinions, but little else. Players are expected to monitor and handle their own RP. If something doesn't work, try something else, but be collaborative.
