Since we started inviting newcomers to Nexus, the staff have found themselves innundated by curious players asking who so-and-so is. Sometimes it's just someone's alt. Sometimes it's a builder character, run by staff. And sometimes, yes, it is a new player.
However, the explanation of, 'Oh, they're a new player so-and-so invited,' doesn't seem to be enough sometimes. As such, we now have an &elsemu field for +finger to handle such questions if the new player in question would like to share that information. See '+finger/fields', specifically under OOC Info.
Players should note that no one is required to relinquish this information, nor should players who invite the newcomers give out that information without permission of those they invited. This information might be shared with staff who have to approve the invitations, but we are not obligated to give this information out.
