About the Multi-Purpose Rooms
Sometimes, the pre-built, existing IC grid just isn't enough. There are many reasons why someone may need to play in a space that isn't on the IC grid:
- The room they need just doesn't exist on the IC grid. You might need a store room or hospital ER, for example, and these aren't readily available, but they are feasibly possible areas for that particular setting and theme.
- You feel like RPing but none of your characters nor the setting/theme of usual choice tickles your fancy today, so you run something completely random that has nothing to do with the game you're on just for giggles.
- You want to try out a theme/storyline/character before starting to build a whole game for it.
Whatever the reason, this is why the Multipurpose Zone has been created.
How To Use Them
At any time while in a room set up as a modular room, you can type '+rhelp' to get this file, but we've put it here for redundancy's sake. This is also repeated in the +help files.
+list descs…………………….Shows you the list of available descs
+list control…………………..Shows control options and who currently has control
+control on/off……………….Takes or gives up control of the room.
+select <desc>……………….Selects a room desc from +list descs
+newdesc <name>=<desc>…Sets a new desc on the room.
+reset desc……………………Resets the room desc
Please Note: If a player is in control, but logged off, then control can be taken by any other player.

Rules
Before entering any of the multipurpose RP rooms:
1. Please check the '+where' or '+who' commands before entering to see if anyone is in Room 1, 2 or 3 of the Multipurpose Zone. (It will say something like: Room 1 - Multipurpose Zone.) If someone is, just move on to the next room. Or you can page to ask if you may join them, but be aware that they may not wish to be disturbed. If they do not, respect those wishes and move to the next room.
2. If all rooms are in use and someone is sitting alone in a room, please page to ask them politely if they could vacate the room so that you may make use of it providing they are not using it shortly. If they are waiting for an RP partner to show up, they are permitted to wait a total of 15 minutes from the time you originally paged them before they must vacate and relinquish control of the room.
3. If someone is idling in the room and is unresponsive to your requests (again, if all rooms are full) or if there is a dispute over the room, please contact staff immediately to either clear the room for you or to deal with the dispute. Please play nice. Everyone should get their fair turn.
(Note: If you guys find that three rooms are not enough, let Vanth know and she can likely set up a couple more.)
