Sanctions are something I'd rather not have to deal with on Nexus, but if I don't address them, that will be the time I need them. There are no hard and fast calls for sanctions here, save that I (Vanth) am the final authority on the game. I pay for the server. I built the foundation for the game. While I tend to not toss that weight around as a general rule, if pressed, I will do what I have to.
Generally, people found being giant PITAs will at least get a warning to stop the asshattery, unless it is so absolutely dire that I have to jump to harsher sanctions immediately (i.e. trying to hack the game, etc.). If things get to be too bad, violators will be asked to leave or will be forcibly removed from Nexus. If they don't respect other players, the staff, myself or the game, they will have no reason or need to be on Nexus, hence the rather harsh sanction for this. No drama-lamas, please.
I will not @toad. I will not argue, nor ridicule. I will not try to convince them to leave the Dark Side and join the Jedi Order. If someone's being an ass and refuses to listen to a warning, they will be gone. End of story. I'm too old and too busy to have to put up with crap on my game. This is my virtual living room so please respect that I make the rules and will throw out any rabble-rousers.
My general feeling toward such people is this: Don't like the rules? Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. It's simple, really. You're on the game by invitation, you get a great deal of freedom and leeway, but you abuse that and act like an asshole, we don't want you here. Really, if you're an ass, you shouldn't BE here in the first place, but these things sometimes happen.
Forgive the bluntness; I just refuse to deal with crap these days. For those who generally tow the line and might step over the line of a rule by accident, don't fret. I'm really not a tyrant. This statement is up solely as a 'cover my ass' clause and to let those who have trouble for us in mind know that I won't put up with it.
