a legend lives…
War wages in the Holy Lands, summoning many a young man to battle in the name of King Richard. It's a tough life, but one spent in the service to the king, which is enough for some. Yet, meanwhile, Richard's beloved land of England lies vulnerable to the machinations of his brother Prince John and all those loyal to his treachery. Coming home from the war, one Robin of Locksley is surprised to find that his beloved lands have been lorded over by another in his absence, and Nottingham is being seized to intense poverty by its cruel overlord, The Sheriff. Forsaking his title, and leaving behind his riches, Robin takes to the Sherwood forest and commissions a band of outlaws to help him in his cause: justice, right, and money for the poor.
Robin and his band of merry men spend their time ambushing rich carriages in the forest and distributing their resources to the struggling villages nearby, once in a while taking a break to thwart whatever new heinous plot the Sheriff and his right-hand man Guy of Gisborne have cooked up.
Things begin to look up, the people start to have hope.

But luck can not always last. The news reverberates around the lands: Robin Hood is dead.
The band soldiers along without him for a while, but it is never the same. Some men lose faith, others are killed, and others still decide to hide among the peasants they've always protected to try and live out normal lives again. With the outlaws limping along on what seems like their last legs, the Sheriff rises up and tightens his hold on the county. Conditions swiftly plummet as the vicious sheriff drives to punish all those who had disobeyed him during the Robin Hood era. It is soon even worse than before.

Yet all is not as it seems; Robin lives. Though his recuperation is taxing, there finally comes the day he can stand and fire his old bow the way he used to. Traveling back to his home, his Sherwood, he vows to reinvent the cause tenfold, to find those scattered comrades and get the movement going.
It's time to rekindle hope.
